TN: 2005 Bernard Baudry’s Les Grézeaux, Chinon

TN: 2005 Bernard Baudry’s Les Grézeaux, Chinon. Day two of drinking this particular bottle, with the 1/3 in the refrigerator overnight deprived of air. The spellbinding nose of evening one – a blooming of fruit - has tamed and lost a bit of its allure, but it is still lovely, still joined with plenty of tobacco and earth and menthol too. Hints of liquid smoke with the dark fruits. The palate is a bit drying on the end, especially on the second day, but this has years to go. No rush here. 93

It made me pull the trigger on a case of 2017 Olga’s Picasses that I had been contemplating, which I hope will perform this well in 20 years, assuming I too am performing well.

Great stuff, I love this vintage of Grezeaux. The 2010 as well.

Had a mag of this in sept 22. Absolutely stunning but would clearly go for decades.
