Tn 2005 saxum james berry 44

down to 2 bottles of this purchased from the mailing list.
seems a proper bottle. it’s amazing how tastes change over the years.
i suppose i could find something to eat with this, but it’s obviously a lot of wine.
tons of fruit and a beautiful if powerful nose
too much wine for me these days
15.9% iirc

How do you think the extended barrel ageing affected the wine (if at all)?

i haven’t had an older jbv in a long time so at best i’d be guessing

They are what they are…
I don’t think we will ever know how they develop. That’s for the next generation to explore.

Are the Pec & Burl James Berry wines more drinkable young for those who have tried them? It’s one of the few mailing list I’ve wanted to join.
