TN: 2019 Keller "von der Fels" - first impressions

• 2019 Weingut Keller Riesling von der Fels - Germany, Rheinhessen (10/10/2020)
  I’ve never opened this wine early like this, but damn, this is possibly the best bottle of VdF’s that I’ve had. The nose is expansive and at once explodes into scents filled with the most perfect peach dashed against crushed marble with lime juice. The palate is taught & bright as if rocks, lime, and green apple were all exploding in your mouth like pop-rocks. This is such a brilliant wine that highlights how top-to-bottom all the wines KPK is making are special and worthy of the attention of all wine geeks.

due to Covid-19 I didn’t attend the barrel tasting in spring at the estate Keller, so I haven’t tasted 2019 Sylvaner Oiseau de feu so far.
In the past the Sylvaner “Oiseau de feu” was terrific.

Some people may disagree, but all the wines from the estate Keller you can buy blind.

due to Covid-19 I didn’t attend the barrel tasting in spring at the estate Keller, so I haven’t tasted 2019 Sylvaner Oiseau de feu so far.
In the past the Sylvaner “Oiseau de feu” was terrific.

Some people may disagree, but all the wines from the estate Keller you can buy blind.

I have not only tasted it I have drank a few bottles, I can’t keep my hands off it. Best one yet. I can’t wait to taste the Auction.

The regular Feuergovel is for sale. The Auction was a reserve and only done in Magnums.
