    Popped and poured, enjoyed over the next 4 hours. Typical Araujo syrah, restrained, elegant and beautiful. I think that in a few years this could be really special.
  • 2006 Rudius Syrah Emerald Pool Alder Springs Vineyard - USA, California, North Coast, Mendocino County (4/10/2009)
    Popped and poured, enjoyed over 4 hours. Very fruity upon opening, then morphed into a cauldron of black fruit, smoked meat, liquid bacon fat, cracked black pepper. It was a glycerin fueled power shot of syrah.

Had a 2005 myself not too long ago. Yeah I think it will open up in another 5-7 years of cellaring.

I bought the Rudius off of a recomendation from a friend. Is this an ager or something better drunk young?
