Spinning Plates allocation available Seems reasonable I grabbed a three pack
Yes. Great wine for the price.
However the original 2021 spinning plates release back in October was $450 for a 3 pack. This looks like it’s $495/3pack.
I must have missed the original Guess one has to move fast in Napa these days prices are moving up
I noticed that as well when I logged into my account. I then hurried over to CT because I swear it wasn’t $495 last year when I bought…Ouch
Posted elsewhere says pre release price was $450 to give their regular buyers a reason and incentive to purchase early - then went up to $495 post.
Cheers
Available again today at 450 for 3 with multiple shipping options from 40 to 120 (to flordia) I got a 3 pack
Anyone else getting some? Anyone tried it yet?
I’ve purchased since the 19 vintage through 22 on both the flagship wines and Spinning plates through 21…I really enjoy the wines but seriously contemplating passing on this year Spinning Plates even thought comparatively speaking the price is great for the quality.
I loved the bottle and to be honest that helped me pull the trigger
I had a 21 the other week and thought it was fantastic. Very modern in style and lots of energy. Nobody’s going to confuse it for one of their single vineyard sites, but it’s very good for the money and a crowd-pleaser.
Thanks for the note I have the three of mine waiting did you decant?
Made using spinning cones?
I am passing but only to preserve my wallet. I tasted at VV in August and thought the '21 Spinning Plates was not open for business, although all the wines were not decanted for very long. Fast forward to this week I opened one from my order last year and let it sit for a few days in my wine fridge. Much, much better. While I have no doubt the '22 will be good, and the price is reasonable (for Napa), it’s becoming a resource allocation thing with Greer, Palisades, QC all having offers this month.
FWIW Vice Versa is making some moves with the new winery and getting the Schrader blocks of BTK (Andy was pissed Fred sold to Constellation). They will be making a new magnum down the road in the vein of Old Sparky.
