What Did You Buy on Berserker Day?

Resisted temptation and stuck to old favorites; Riverain and Sandler.

It was my 2nd Berserker Day and I said I should only buy from a couple wineries. I think I failed though:
Big Basin Pinot Pack - 3 Bottles
Big Basin Grenache Pack - 3 Bottles
Patricia Green Half Bottles Bonanza -12 375mL Bottles
Patricia Gren Berserker Cuvee - 12 Bottles
Franny Beck Revisit Pack - 3 Bottles
Cabot Pinot 6 Pack - 6 Bottles
(2) Sandler Pinot Noir 4 Pack - 8 Bottles
Ladd Cellars The Cellar 4 Pack - 4 Bottles
(2) Loring Mystery Pack - 6 Bottles
Loring Mateo St. Rita Hills - 3 Bottles
Longplay Pinot Pack - 6 Bottles
The Princess and Peasant - 6 Bottles

I may be looking for additional storage soon.

I think I bought both Arcadian offers, but do not have confirmation yet.

Mystery case of Zepaltas
3 3-packs from Loring

I went light as it was my first Beserker Day.
Will be better prepared next year!

Struggled, but kept it to two wines and two non-wine items:
Campesino Rhone 6 pack
Ladd Cellars 6 pack
Flannery - 6 x 30-day aged NY’s
Chris F - 4 x Gabriel Gold and 2 x Std

Cheers!

welcome to the clubhouse … [cheers.gif]

Case of Chester’s Anvil '13 Zinfandel
3 x Princess & Peasant Carignan
3 x Signal Ridge Tiny Pink Bubbles

There were way too many great deals…my budget limited me to one known winery (Lagier Meredith / Chester’s Anvil) and one new (Signal Ridge).

Glad to see others exercised the discipline I didn’t. * denotes a new winery for me.

Cabot - 6 pack
Crawford - 3 pack
*EMH - 3 wine vertical
Ladd - 6 pack
*Loring - 3 pack mystery
Patricia Green - 12 pack of 375s
Sojourn - 8 bottles plus 1 free.

I originally planned on using the opportunity to spread the buying out into some new varietals and new producers that we don’t normally drink. But after reviewing the offers, i mostly ended up with a mix of our fav’s with only a little bit of new stuff. Lots of Pinot as usual with a little bit of Zin and some italian varietals. Then some interesting Rhone and syrah as the wildcards.

Liquid Farm “1st Course” 6 pack
Castelli 4 pack
Loring Pack 1 & 2
Patty Green case of shorties
Signal ridge 4 pack
DV8 Mixed Rhone 6 reds + whites
Engracia mixed 6
Enkidu Zin + Barbera 4 pack

Unfortunately i had to stop there after hitting my limit. Would have loved to add the Arcadian and Ladd Library deals, the Pinot from Crawford, Iota and Briceland and also a couple packs from Cabot.

Frankly, i was hoping for a little more variety on the offers from Limerick, Fogline and Sojourn.

Three of the four orders I placed are “new” to me:
Virage
Princess and Peasant
West of Temperance

I am curious how the newbies faired on BD.

I think the Sojourn offer has been basically the same each of the last few years - a free bottle with 6, plus 10% off with 12. Both are a nice bonus versus the standard allocation offers.

Theopolis 3 pak ofPS
Paetra 6 pak of riesling
Tercero Mourvedre 6 pak
Navarro mystery pak

Certainly a generous offer for fans to stuck up, though they likely do without consideration for this event through various direct sales and futures events.

The vast majority of offers seem to revolve around “discovery” packs as a low cost entry point to sample a winery’s wares across the line or a subset of offerings. While its great to be able to stock up cheaply on the old standby’s, discovering some fun new wines, be it entirely new producers or just new varietals/vintages from favorite wineries seems to be largely part of the charm of BD.

But i’m glad there’s options both ways so everyone gets a chance to find something that satisfies thier interests. I certainly did some “Stocking up” on pinot with Patty Green and Loring and appreciate the opportunity to do so even with a slight twist (half bottles and mystery packs).

I received my first BD shipment today, The Wine Valise. Now I might be motivated to travel somewhere.

Also ordered,
Boheme, Delicta, and iOTA- new to me
Franny Beck- ordered last year, but have not gotten around to trying
Jean Edwards, Ladd, Long Play, Navarro, and Vincent.

I would have included Vidal and Winderlea, but didn’t see an offer.

P Hickner

I ordered:

Wilde Farm eight-pack
EMH three-pack
Navarro case
Arcadian four-pack
Random sixer (cab franc)

I thought I would stay on the sidelines this year, but I couldn’t help myself with some of the offers being as good as they were.

I sent Arcadian a second email.

Got notification my West of Temperance order shipped today.
