What's your favorite RYE-centric cocktail?

Agreed!!

I only managed to take a pic of my first run at a Boulevardier. I liked it a lot. My wife didn’t and found it a little too bitter. Thanks for all the great recommendations!

On a related note, my father-in-law gave me an older book called Grossman’s Guide to Wine, Spirits, and Beers, published in 1964. It’s fun to find the classic version of many cocktail recipes. Here was the recommendation for the Sazerac:

Classic 1-2-3 cocktail.

I have a couple old cocktail books. I’ll try and dig them up and post a photo soon

Rye, simple syrup & Blenheim Red Cap. My take on the Husk Kentucky Mule. More of a summer cocktail, but delicious anytime.

Side Car (shown in recipe above) is also a great cocktail, but no rye in it.

Had this at Icehouse bar in Minneapolis and now make it for myself all the time. They make it with Bourbon but I actually prefer it with Rye

Full Grown Man
Fill Tumbler/Pint Glass with Ice
1 shot Rye (or Bourbon)
1 shot Rum (aged = better)
Fill with Ginger Beer (spicier = better)
Splash of bitters

DELICIOUS

I’m going to have to try that, Troy. I’ve got a bottle of Smith & Cross rum ready to go.

My favorite mule take was from the boys at Toulouse.

Ice
1 oz. fresh lime juice
3 oz. Bourbon or Rye
Ginger Beer
3-4 good dashes of bitters

Used to go out of my way to stop and say hi on way home and have 1 with a cup of fried chicken gumbo.

As for classics, love Boulevardier.
