I have been looking for a wine cabinet to replace four 166 bottle wine refrigerators. I came across this monster, and am very interested, but cannot find reviews anywhere. Have any of you seen this in person? Or know of anyone who has? Link below.
Thanks
Jorge
I don’t have any experience with this model but have looked at it many times. Bottom line, it’s a La Cache! There are a few on this site who have mentioned the Bild series before but not sure if it was this model. This is nice but I would rather see a 1200 bottle wine room…
Le Cache has a great reputation.
Will you be putting it in a temperature controlled space, or a garage? Would noise be an issue? The Bild line only has R10 insulation, so if it gets warm you could expect the refrigeration unit to be running almost all the time…
Thanks for the input guys. It would go in my basement. Winter temps are in the 60s, so I have some months to research it. Summer temps are 70s, with a likely max of about 80. Noise is not an issue, but I suspect the unit would run pretty constantly in the summer.
My guess is you will get much more space for much less money buy just building out a wine room in your basement
If you go with a wine cabinet, check Craigslist before you buy retail.
Max temp of 80 would be very doable for that unit. As for value, I spent a whole lot more building a basement cellar myself that didn’t store much more than the BILD 800 capacity - the unit you’ve selected likely makes more economic sense.
I’m not familiar with the BILD series. We have the Contemporary and love, love it. It’s quiet, reliable and durable - not to mention a beautiful piece of furniture. As you are specing out your unit, it will help you select the correct cooling unit/size for your basement environment. Standard racking accommodates Turley and Champagne bottles too.

Craigslist – I found a great scratch and dent deal on new Eurocaves.
