The 2013 is to young for my taste right now, but it has the goods to be classic ESJ. Of the recent run R&G bottlings (2009 - 2015, which use the Unti vineyard fruit), the 2010 is in the best place right now.

I don’t know how people can drink the same producer over and over and over again every month. Through the years, yes, I can see that. But there is not one producer I would drink every week or every month.
Eventually that will be true, but I know for my case, I am trying to focus on drinking up certain things. While Donnhoff represents the largest holding in my cellar, if I were to run the “what are you drinking” assessment for the last year or two (as opposed to my entire history with CellarTracker), the report would be different.

The wines we drink most often are our “everyday” wines, that we usually have a glass or so of, with or without food, and are often standing by vacu-vin’d in the refrigerator or on the kitchen counter. I have been trying “one-ofs” more recently, but my general MO is to find a white and a red that we enjoy and load up a bit. Over the past several years our white choice tends to be Sauvignon Blanc (Henri Bourgeois Petite Bourgeois has been the choice a few times, Chidaine or other Touraine Blanc, an NZ Marlborough like Villa Maria or even Kirkland Ti Point, etc). Our everyday red is often a Cotes du Rhone (we usually grab one based on recent tastings at local wine stores and it varies year to year. Again Kirkland can work here also)
Wines we drink by the bottle are in the “cellar” and are broad rather than deep. Some of our favorites to grab:
Sancerre
Muscadet (esp Clos des Briords)
Loire Chenin Blanc (dry to sweet)
Italian Reds (Toscana mostly, but some Piemonte)
Lebanese Reds (a new area of interest)
I was an early adopter, so I still have more than 2 cases from 2002 and older, along with another 5 cases of more recent vintages. The question is whether I have enough to last a lifetime.
