Worst QPR ever

Never have I liked broad strokes with these types of posts. I have had many a pricey Cabs that were amazing and while thier QPR could be considered bas by many here. Many can be found in the $100-$225 range. Above that, all bets are off.

I have not drunk this myself but Screaming Eagle. No way this is not the worst qpr Napa wine out there. Even at release.

Here’s the thing…I can have as great a wine experience with a $40 bottle as I can with a $200 bottle. But it won’t be the same type of wine experience.

That’s where I come from for value.

Caymus 40th anniversary .

As they used to say on In Living Color:

Hated It!!

If you auctioned these off (assuming you bought them at release price) you would easily make 2.5 times your money. [wink.gif]

Sorry, but somebody has to say it - Burgundy.

The “Greater Fool” theory in action?

It was said in post #2 of this thread.

Somebody needed to second it then. And not in a whisper.

Or third it, whatever.

I’m going to go with DRC pileon

Of the wines I have purchased myself, d’Yquem 1988. Was pleasant enough but I wasn’t buying “pleasant”.

DRC worse value than Domaine Leroy!?!

Dan Kravitz

Most CA Chardonnays…

Most wine, but the OP question is the worst?

Fair. One that stands out is Kosta Browne One Sixteen

In the spirit of this thread, I’d say that buying a kosta Browne Chardonnay is doubly stupid and you get exactly what you deserve. Or each action cancels the other out? Does double negative apply here? Can we get a ruling?

Is Screaming Eagle poor value ?

I know i would pay release price to try it

One sixteen is a good CA cab

But poor value compared to French cab
